Breakthrough Health was started in 2004 by Award-Winning Fitness Expert, Bestselling Author, 28-time Boston Marathon Finisher and 12-time Ironman Triathlon Finisher Jonathan Roche.  The mission from day one was to guide people to control their mindset in order to get healthy, drop weight and feel amazing without dieting and without trashing their bodies with long workouts.  Over the last 19 years we have achieved that mission by focusing on one member at a time.

Patent Cliff Avoidance, Inc. was launched in late 2022 to partner with pharmaceutical companies to help them avoid the drastic financial impact of patent cliffs (both in Lost Annual Revenue and Lost Market Cap).

 

We do this using our proprietary and patented personalization software that leads to deeper partnerships with patients that drive quantifiable health outcomes to prove the ROI to health insurance companies.

Jonathan Roche is an Award-Winning Fitness Expert, Bestselling Author, 28-time Boston Marathon Finisher (running 27 straight to raise funds for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute) and 12-time Ironman Triathlon Finisher.  He is also the Founder and CEO of Breakthrough Health and he holds two patents on Personalized Interval Training.

Jonathan is a Peak Performance Coaching for Professional Athletes, CEOs and other leaders from some of the largest companies in the US.  In addition, Jonathan guides Leadership Teams and companies in attaining Peak Performance through Team Coaching Calls, Onsite Training Programs and Keynote Speaking Engagements!

Jonathan’s first book (“The No Excuses Diet”, which is an anti-diet book) hit #3 on the Amazon Best Seller List and was featured on The Today Show.  His second book titled “12 Key Habits to Thrive” was released on 5/23/22 and is set to hit 100,000 copies sold by early 2024.  His third book titled "12 Key Habits to Close the GAP" will be released on 5/6/24 and his fourth book titled "12 Key Habits to Beat Diabetes" will be released on 10/21/24.

In 1995 Jonathan weighed 224 pounds and was wearing size 38 pants when his Dad (who was obese) died of Cardiac Arrest.  Jonathan dropped 40 pounds over the year after losing his Dad and has kept it off for 28 years.
